Text Box: At Lowfields we believe Education is a partnership and that a successful school is dependent on the corporate efforts of children, parents, staff, governors and the friends of the school to achieve the best educational opportunities for each child. The information in our brochure reflects the very best of this partnership and the way in which we all work together. Lowfields Junior School recognises the importance of the four core skills of reading, writing, number and information technology. Within a framework of study children are encouraged to become independent learners applying their core skills to the broader curriculum and self-study. Self discipline, consideration and respect for others are crucial to the success of our school community. All children are encouraged to develop these qualities and our programme of personal, social and health education is carefully planned to do this. Lowfields Junior School has extensive grounds and outdoor facilities including a wild area and pond. We all aim to make the learning environment welcoming, bright and stimulating. I hope that you enjoy reading our school brochure but hope too that you will come and visit our school to experience the atmosphere and involvement of the children. We run an “open door” policy that means all parents are actively encouraged to come into school. Please feel free to make an appointment to meet me and look around our school.
